REASON FOR ENGAGEMENT

The company, a Key Distributor of multiple brands of FMCG goods was looking for an e-commerce solution to interact with their Traders. Often the key distributors found it challenging to get their business grows, mainly due to reasons such as, giving credits to the traders, collecting the debts from traders, tracking logistics shipped to the traders, maintaining their financial accountings, the list went on. These problems triggered the company to think for an e-commerce site where an ERP solution can also be easily be integrated to the e-commerce, and must be a cost effective solution. The best way to accomplish this is to implement a Trader and Key Distributor Self-Service Portal that build client and partner loyalty, improve customer satisfaction, speed and enhance service, reduce customer support costs and generate significant revenue for:

Approach

The company approached ECIT, with their requirements and ERPNext was suggested by ECIT, ERPNext was not only an open source ERP solution, but also had a strong base to develop a full e-commerce site too. First ECIT gathered thru many discussions studied the current process followed by the company; most of the major process was handled by ERPNext without any customization. A demo of ERPNext was conducted online and the company was exited to hire ECIT for the implementation, customization and Training of the ERPNext.

     

    CLIENT REQUIREMENTS


    Major requirements of the company were to eliminate the credit facilities given to the traders and track the logistics.

    The system should be able to use as a centre point for multiple key distributors and multiple traders.

    Various kinds of dash board according to the logged in user type has to be displayed.

    An online payment system needs to be integrated as the part of e-Commerce and the financial transactions needs to be accounted in the form of General Ledger/Vouchers.

    Strategy

    After a complete requirement study, ECIT came up with a well-planned functional document and project plan. Agile Methodology was followed for the entire development stage.

    A tailored solution based on ERPNext-Frappe frame work been implemented which comprises of multiple FMCG , Key distributors and Traders were able to log in and transact which satisfies the requirements of the client.
